Evan Whitwam is EKLA’s Landscape Designer and Urban Planner, responsible for assisting other members in project coordination, design details, diagramming, and community engagement strategies. Evan’s knowledge and expertise in urban planning allow him to incorporate the understanding of the cultural spatial aspects into his designs.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Bloustein School of Planning and Policy, Evan has conducted research, designed master plans and landscape implementation across the New York/New Jersey Region by meeting with community leaders, local politicians and extensive research into the rich historical context of each site. He also brings experience with drawing construction details and 3D visualizations from working with landscape architects in Shanghai, China. This process stems from a deep passion for history, community, and culture.
