Sungjun Park

Junior Landscape & urban designer

MLA

Sungjun Park comes to EKLA’s public sector work from an early stint in residential landscape design-build. He works at different project scales to develop and study preliminary 3D construction detail and assess scope and implementation feasibility. In collaboration with architects and engineers on multi-discipline project teams, he similarly test fits concepts in 3D to verify design direction and project development approach.

He is a graduate of CUNY Spitzer School of Architecture MLArch program, where his research re-thought agricultural practices along the Mississippi River, and investigated the correlation of building height, real estate redevelopment, and wealth distribution in Washington, DC. Postgraduation, he studied the public- and open space needs of Korean community gardeners in northeast Queens to advocate for optimizing culturally-based urban agricultural practices in public policy decision-making.
